ARGINNIT / TOMMY

arginnit / tommy was supposed to be an arg, yet even he himself isn't quite sure what his arg was supposed to be about. while traveling to his alternate universe to begin his life to live out as the arg, there was a " glitch in the system " of sorts, causing him to end up in limbo for all eternity, basically dying on the way to his universe. this means he cannot ever leave limbo, as the only way to leave is to get your arg solved, and he has no arg to begin with. he is the only known arg in the universe to have encountered this glitch, making him the only arg in the universe to be stuck in limbo permanently ( unless your arg is literally unsolvable, but majority of people don't purposefully get themselves stuck in limbo. )

originally he struggled finding a personality at all, as he was thrown into limbo as a teenager and had no universe of his own to live out and develop his own personality in. in the end, his personality is pretty much the same as tommy himself, although he is a bit more excitable considering he's still basically a child and has zero life experience. he is afraid of being left behind to an extreme extent, considering he's been alone in limbo with practically no one for ages, as people don't usually acknowledge each other there, especially not a " glitch. " majority of people feared they could catch the glitch, and it would cause them to be stuck there too. he does have heaps of anxiety, though, and is very insecure about the fact that he's a " failed arg. " before wilbur came around, he was often made fun of or looked at weirdly by the others in the limbo train.

his relationship to wilbur is that he looks up to wilbur as a brother figure and wilbur is the only person he's had in limbo in literally forever. he loves to hear about wilbur's adventures as an arg and his life stories, and is attached to his hip and enthusiastic everytime wilbur says literally anything. he cracks plenty of jokes that send wilbur into tears. when he originally met wilbur, wilbur was cold and pissed off in general. but almost immediately warmed up to him. wilbur tells tommy that he's what keeps him warm nowadays, and that he hasn't felt cold in a long time - and the reason for that is all thanks to tommy. tommy doesn't tell wilbur about him being a glitch for the first week or so, but wilbur can assume he's not necessarily " normal " by the fact that he seems so overly excited by just.. living life in general, and the glitch on his face. ( wilbur was never afraid of catching the glitch, instead he finds it extremely interesting and loves it. ) tommy constantly fears that one day wilburs arg will be solved, leaving him alone, but wilbur reassures him that he knows it isn't possible.

appearance-wise, he has a black turtleneck with a zip-up hoodie on top of it, the hood part being a darkish red while the rest is white, and the zipper is a light silver. his eyes are still blue, though he only has one, as the entire space of his face in which is left eye would be is a black scribble, something he inherited during the " glitch " that caused him to end up in limbo.

his glitch can occasionally act up, causing part of it to turn red, in which it's usually painful. this normally only happens when he is feeling intense emotions, and wilbur found out about it during an argument they had that went too far.

WORLDBUILDING

the world of the args is basically something you should think of like living and then being sent to " afterlife " of sorts. if a ghost has unfinished business, it will stay in limbo, like an unfinished arg. you're born to be an arg immediately, and you live your life as you usually would, in an alternate universe from the " real " world. the people on the internet are given the quest to basically " solve your life ", and once your arg is finished, you are sent to limbo until they can do so. if your arg is solved before you are finished, somehow, you are sent to the afterlife early. either way, you are sent to the afterlife when your arg is solved. though, because some peoples are either unsolvable completely or too difficult, limbo is filled with idle people, waiting for their arg to be solved. there is not a space before limbo, so you are basically born an arg immediately with nothing beforehand, thrown into the world, and only once you're in limbo or the afterlife do you understand what really happened, unless you're self-aware, which in some cases you are. ( hence wilbur referring to his arg clues as arg clues multiple times, because he was self aware. )

each arg as their own specific universe to live their story as it is supposed to be told. tommy never got thrown into his, or he tried to be, but something " glitched ", sending him immediately to limbo instead. essentially, his " plane " to his universe crashed. he never stepped foot into his universe, he was immediately thrown into limbo, but he still has a few glitches present on his body to show there was definitely something that went wrong in the process.

the limbo itself is practically the cover to ycgma, but the train itself is a large train with hallways and sections, and each hallway has multiple doors that are on the walls, kind of like people having their own individual rooms in heaven. each door has a name on it and underneath the name of their arg. tommy's just reads " tommy " , while wilburs reads " wilbur " and " the wilbur soot arg. " you can only sleep in your own individual room, and there is a pattern of sorts in the train. you are to wake up at the same time everyday, sleep at the same time every night, and mealtimes are schedules and in a large cafeteria in the train. ( realistically all of this stuff cannot fit in the train, but the walls of train have said doors that open into larger rooms, and these rooms are kind of like different worlds themselves . )

tommy spends most of his time in wilburs world / room. tommys world / room is practically empty, because he never experienced life enough to have the room recognize him and be able to fill it with things that would fit him, because he never really got to have a personality in the real world. its basically just a black void with a singular red bed. he only goes there to sleep, and he doesn't show it to wilbur until much later on, as he's insecure of it. he usually meets with wilbur at breakfast, and they sit together at every meal, and are practically attached to the hip from sunrise to the second before they are forced to head to their own worlds to bed.

when a person's arg is solved and they move on to the afterlife, their world, the door leading to it, and any other trace of them ever existing are wiped from the train. physical items will stay, like for example - if someone was to give you something of theirs or leave a jacket behind, those would stay, but the person and everything they were currently wearing / holding and their room would vanish from limbo completely.

ARGBUR / WILBUR

argbur / wilburs background is basically the same as what we see in the original wilbur soot arg, which .. im not gonna write an entire summary of in this carrd, because there's a dozen pages of that on a google doc on the internet. basically though, he appeared in his args universe, lived through his arg as we saw it ourselves, and we were the ones in the main universe trying to solve his life. he made his arg unsolvable, causing him to stay in limbo permanently as well, although he never tells anyone, not even tommy, if that was purposeful - nor does he tell tommy the solution to his arg. every day during breakfast, tommy tells wilbur what he thinks his story might be, and wilbur will simply shake his head and ruffle his hair - but promise that he will get it one day. it is unknown that if somebody in limbo solves your arg that it counts as a solving and takes you to the afterlife, and wilbur doesn't want to be the one to find out. he internally hopes that tommy doesn't solve it, because he doesn't want to leave tommy alone forever, and he hopes nobody on the outside ever solves it either. tommy's a smart kid, and wilbur knows its not necessarily impossible that he might find out the real answer and solve it one day. tommy isn't aware of the possible dangers of him trying to find out the answer, as wilbur refuses to tell him because he loves seeing how enthusiastically tommy is about trying to solve it every morning, and he knows it gives tommy something to live for when life is as bland as it is without an arg.

wilburs personality overall is the same as you see it during his arg, but in limbo its a bit different, and leans more closely to the wilbur you see in his final video in which he sends off the arg. ( you all know the one I'm talking about. ) he's a bit of a prick, cold ( and not just physically ), standoffish, and overall likes to be snarky. originally he was like this with tommy, and genuinely thought of him as an annoying child, but he couldn't help his interest in the boy with the glitch on his face. he also couldn't help but find it interesting that he'd decided to communicate with others in the limbo world, as that was usually rare. after meeting tommy, his personality becomes less stuck-up and more playful. he's still snarky and a prick towards tommy, but in an affectionate way rather than the genuine coldness he had said these words with before. overall he becomes much more warm in general upon meeting tommy, and takes up an older brother figure role, comforting him when necessary and giving him reassuring words in the most poetic way possible to the point where tommy doesn't even understand them sometimes, but he can still be a prick if he deems necessary, and absolutely is to anyone that isn't tommy.

his relationship with tommy is as described above, he sees him as a little brother and gives him the special treatment nobody else gets. to anyone else, he is cold, an asshole, and overall tries to be mean to drive people away because he usually doesn't like people in general. he couldn't keep this up for long though, because the more tommy refused to leave him alone, he found himself easily falling into the position of his older brother figure and becoming tommy's best ( and sadly, only ) friend. he becomes protective over him, and immediately scares off anyone who would originally comment on tommy's glitch. he would do anything for tommy in an instant, and constantly looks forward to his days in the limbo now that he's around. originally he had made his arg impossible to solve simply because he didn't like life very much, and he had wanted to get away from people in general, forever. of course he was ticked off when tommy refused to let him escape people even in permanent death, but now he finds himself glad he made his arg impossible. not because he wants to avoid people, but because he can't find himself ever leaving tommy's side and he's not sure if he wants to " live " in a world where he has to.

appearance wise he looks the same as he does in the final send-off video. not really any add-ons, rather than maybe more noticeable eyebags and a bandaid slapped across his nose and a few on his fingers.
